I'm curious to know how networking behaves in a webgl build. Will my tcp sockets just work straight out of the box? That would be seriously impressive!


Even though you can go with websockets or a tcp-websockets bridge, Mozilla has a proposal for TCP Sockets API in JavaScript. Its being used in Firefox OS right now and is quite cool. More info at:

In the future this could become a standard and everyone would benefit.


They won't, but changing your server to accept websocket instead shouldn't be too bad.


Don't even need to do that. There are a bunch of TCP-WebSocket bridges out there.
