That link says it will only work for accounts connected within the last fourteen days.

I find this whole thing really off putting.

First they force my youtube account over to Google+.

The a few months down the track say - 'whoops, sorry about that - but you cant have your old account back'

And why? Why should he (she?) undo something done by G+?
